How can i reinstall prestashop without losing all my modifications?

I have been replacing files and the problem is still there. I replaced all the module tpls and footer tpl etc. The divs are still there. see images. Any more ideas?

I have looked at all the things i may have changed and I cant figure it out. Whenever a third module is place suddenly div class=col md appear. If i go into HTML edit on firebug and delete the div class everything appears as it should. Why are the spaces appearing? Is there a way to edit the html directly so the changes in firebug stay permentently? Otherwise im faced with not having a footer at all. And i really dont fancy the idea of reinstalling prestashop. Can anyone help?

Dont worry about the changes. I ctrl F5 and it brought back the changes, silly me. Footer is still broken though

Hello I have used the unmodified theme and the problem with the footer remains. However after switching back it has now wiped all the changes i made in colours to every page. So its not the theme but maybe global css?

I have done as you suggested. Again when i add a third module it has now add divs col-md8. So its not the modules, because no matter in what combination i add them, the third module always leads to divs being created. The facebook like has been uninstalled.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled as you suggested. As before if i had the first two everything is fine. I then add the third the div class col md 4 is added. If you look at the site now, the spacing problem is the same as before.

Hi No i dont have the facebook module installed and no its was not on the footer, except through the social sharing module. I have deleted and reinstalled the modules and still get the same problem.

Hi All I have removed all of the modules from the footer hook and begun loading them one at a time. I have found that if i load newsletter and social block in that order there is no problem. However when i add a third module, ANY module, those .col-md-div codes are added, throwing all of the layout out again. So in my newbie opinion i think that the modules arent the problem but perhaps some spacing code that is overiding the footer tpl.?? Any help is greatly welcomed

Hi Tdr170 I have gone through all of the tpl files for my account etc and cant find the code thats affecting it, Is it something to do with column width?

Update to all. I have found that if I add products from the product page is correctly calculates the shipping price. The error occurs in the shopping cart summary when you add or remove products there. Its in the shopping cart summary that it miscalculates the delivery cost. Help is still needed if the customer decides to change quantity . Many Regards

Hi All I have found that when calculating shipping costs the first item i put in the basket does not get included in the calculations of shipping charges. so a range is set that from 0 - 0.85 Kg shipping is £3.50, 0.85Kg -1.5 Kg shipping is £5.00 if i had 3 x 250g its £3.50. If i had 4 x 250g its £3.50. Only when i add 5 does it change to £5.00 Its as if it hasnt included the first item in its calculations. This happens with any item placed in the cart no matter how heavy, so even if its 20kg, the charge stays at 3.50! Meaning I lose lots of money on shipping! Please help if you can. I can understand why the cart is including the first item when working out shipping costs. Many thanks

Hi All I have carried out the steps in post #133, but the strange thing is works once then cannot be repeated the second time. I have to delete the files then ftp them again and it works! Ideally I am looking for an Ajax-cart turned on solution but my prestashop version is 1.6.0.14. Critically important this can work, as my products require personalised labels and the save button is an extra step the customer doesnt need. Thanks in advance
