Automatically add customers to a specific group

Hello,

I need a feature/module to automatically add customers to specific customer's groups.

In my shop, during the order check-out (when the customer needs to fill the form related to shipping and invoicing address), I have added a field named "VAT number".

Then, I have created a customer's group named "companies".

Now, I need to automatically add to the group named "companies" all the customers that specify a VAT number in that form.

Is there anyone that knows how to do it?

Hi, you need a specific development to do this. Did you use the regular VAT field of Prestashop ?

no, that field has been added manually...I mean, we have customized the form in order to make appear that specific field in the check-out form.

If you are or have a developper there is a hook for that, you can see that free module that does the job. I think you can modify it easely. Have fun 😉
