How to show subcategory products in the parent category page?

Hello,

how do I show the products from the subcategories on the category page? I want something like this

MAIN CATEGORY
Product1 Product2 Product3...

SUBCATEGORY 1
SubcategoryProduct1 SubcategoryProduct2 SubcategoryProduct3...

I haven't found a working way using the subcategories so far, so I tried using Brands.

I put all the products in the same category, then I assigned different Brands to those that I wanted in the subcategory. Basically I've created two brands: "Main Category" and "Subcategory". Then I went to Shop Settings->Products and changed the Default Order to "Brand".

Now my products are actually sorted by brands, but they're still showing in one group only, like this:

Product1 Product2 Product3 SubcategoryProduct1 SubcategoryProduct2 SubcategoryProduct3

Is there a way to group them by Brands? And show the Brand name as a group label?

Or is there any other way to make this simple thing work? I'm using PrestaShop 1.7.5.2

Can't you just assign Category products only to category and subcategory products only to subcategories?

That's the first thing I've done, but I can't get the products from the subcategory to show on the parent category page in a separated group.

OK, so you mean a separate group with a brand label? That's not possible by default, you would need to apply some changes in the theme.
