How can I display the reference number on the product page under the title : http://new.scrapbookstudio.co.za/adhesives/2063-w-m-foam-dots-size-10mm-49-dots-in-total.html

look for product.tpl in the template folder, {$product.reference} will probably work

Thanks,but i don't understand the instruction, do I JUST need to paste {$product.reference} somewhere? I tried without any success.

It depends on your template, try to add a random string like "hjfdfdil" and see if it pops up. If not, try another spot. Clear cache after editing (from the back office).
It's a brute force solution but also the only one with most templates, trial and error.
