Contribution to a common pot

Hi everybody !

I'm interested to develop a module for my website to be able to have contributors to a common pot.

The idea is a leetchi.com's like or a potcommun.fr's like.

For example :
- 1 person create a group to buy a gift for another person.
- He can invite people to participate
- Anyone who is invited can add money to the common pot.
- At anytime, the person who has create the group, can take the money back to his bank account to buy later on my website or any others.

At this moment I have all the part of 'group system', but not the 'money system'.

My vision of this work is : 
- When the person create a group with a common pot ::::::> create a new entry in database.
- Anyone add money for this common pot ::::::> update amount in database and make payement to my 'paypal pro account'.
- When the person who has create the group want the money back ::::::> I make a payement from my 'paypal pro account' to this person.

Is that the good way to do it ?
Is paypal the good choice ?
I know there is some module to do it, but I want to do it by myself because they don't do all I need or like I want 🙂
