How to add block to a new page

I would like to add "block new products" to a new page

Could you please help me with this ?

I guess the best way, if the page is custom, is to create a hook in the page's tpl, with {hook h='nameofthehook'}
Then extend the blocknewproducts module with an override, and add function hookNameOfThehook, and return whatever it returns for home/hometabcontent
