(Solved) Facebook Like button is showing wrong thumbnail.

Recommended Posts

I have just downloaded and installed Tomerg's Free Facebook like module - where you can add a "Like" button to your product pages - works very well. http://www.presto-changeo.com/prestashop-free-modules/45-facebook-like-button.html

However, it seems to pulling through random images from the pages - not the product image.

I did some digging (google) and it seems it maybe that FB have changed a few things. Has anyone come across this, and more importantly - anyone know how to fix it. Site is Here

I had the same problem. Reason for this is that facebook uses meta tags and there was no way to integrate this directly into the url of the <iframe> line.

But this module works like a sharm so download it and install it from store admin under moduls and then you should get correct product images on the facebook profile.

ghostmanno

Thank you for this usefull module.

I try to install it, I found and feed my "ID facebook" but what about "ID App Facebook" ? wich is required, how to implement it.

Add "og" xml namespace to your template header.tpl

This could be done on module install

There is an updated module ver 1.1 but it is still showing the wrong thumbnail image.
I have tried the other Facebook OpenGraph API but cant get that to work either.
Does anyone have a module thats working properly as it seems a shame to take this off my site.

Tomers latest module works perfectly. Try clearing you cache and click on a product you did not click before and see then.

Sorry, the module is now showing the correct image thumbnail.

The only problem now is that the module is causing ssl problems on my website.
So far I have been unable to find any solution so have had to disable the module. Pity!!

Hi

I'm facing the same problems, have Tomers module & open graph installed but due to my url rewriting I'm unable to figure out how to get the correct image to show up! Any help? My site is droppedpin.net

Thanks
