ilegales Posted January 31, 2019 Share Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) Hello I am trying to configure and setup a multishop which i think i have done correctly inside Prestashop 1.6.1 See enclosed photo i then went to upload the exact same folder to FileZilla -FTP of the original shop inside filezilla on shop 1 i downloaded all files... then on shop 2 i uploaded all files I think this is where the problem is... Inside mySql i made 2 photos to show you where i am -after looking at many others posts to check I am not sure which files i should upload to FTP - filezilla... and where i get these files from... PrestaHeroes USA Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 Hi, Here is PrestaShop .doc on 1.6 MultiStore. http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Managing+Multiple+Shops MutiStore runs multiple stores using on PrestaShop installation so it's unclear to me what your FTP of files are actually for but if to use MultiStore that is all configued when you add another store. ilegales Posted February 1, 2019 Author Share Posted February 1, 2019 Hello El Patron I was using that guide for the setup of the multishop and have read quite a number of your posts while doing a search I am not really understanding a lot of the technical info when reading up on the setup and problem could be the "parking "of the second domain i will briefly try and explain what i did.. so i used the guide setup the multishop see enclosed photos Is the MySql done correctly and is it parked correctly... i use programmes mysql , filezilla for FTP transfer I thought for the second shop i must upload (FTP) the same files from shop 1 (ftp) to the second each domain has a different hostname in FTP transfer - a photo included of what i see on the Remote site transfer please advise if i should take any more photos for anywhere Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
PrestaHeroes USA Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 you do not need to ftp anything or create another db you add/configure the domain to PrestaShop for plesk 'alias' new domain to main, cpanel park new domain to main domain (some cpanel now use alias) that's it.... PrestaHeroes USA Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Hi, this is not a cpanel hosting control panel. 1) add domain to your hosting 2) from domain registrar point your domain DNS to hosing (ip/name servers) 3) from hosting alias the new domain to main domain. also you can contact your hosting company and they can help if you need it. AlejandroHyam.com is supposed to display the content of AuraKendama.com domain?" AuraKendama is the MAIN shop in prestashop and alejandrohyam is the second shop and i replied back " AuraKendama.com is the MAIN shop in Prestashop and AlejandroHyam,com will be a secondary shop displaying a similar shop page internet shop" PLUS Just some other parts of info from the man who told me about this setup - You can't install a multi shop on a addon domain. It needs to be installed on the main domain of your host and from there on you can follow the rules with parking and so on. -------------------------------------------- -cpanel = park to main domain pleask = alias to main domain of course you need to change the name servers of new domain to ns.newdomain.xxx ns1.newdoamin.xxx (this after alias/park) ----------------------------------------- So AuraKendama is MAIN domain --------------------------------- WAs that info all correct what i told them ?? hoping it can get figured out .... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I thought you needed to set up AlejandroHyam.com as an alias? What you have now sent me is a DNS server change." ilegales Posted February 2, 2019 Author Share Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) Thanks El Patron so told them that info and reply " So webhosting for alejandrohyam.com is deleted and the domain is set as an alias to aurakendama.com. It will be working in one hour(DNS cache). Already one hour later and page just says "This site cant be reached" Are you able to have a look from your side to see whats up with it? There is another problem, you have set "redirect" to SSL: https://alejandrohyam.com/, but for this alias domain isn't service DV SSL installed, it can be only for main domain aurakendama.com. You need to turn off this redirect to SSL(https) in your eshop. If you want to set SSL for alias domain too, we can offer you the SSL service, ----------------------- Just turned off Enable SSL in the Alias 2nd shop and now it does not say ""This site cant be reached" just a blank white screen but on the top header I can see page title.. "see errors.csv file created on your server" I have included a copy of the index.php - which includes the extra part at the top please check to see if its correctly done... My Slider on "both" sites does not show on the homepage... any ideas on how to get it back - was working fine before the Multishop came....
