Remove special characters from VOUCHER CODE

Hi guys.

I need you help.
Our customers often types voucher code adding one of this two special characters: "SPACE" and "#"

How can I remove they?

PS=If I make they "not typable" in Voucher field, customers goes crazy and think their keyboard is broken, I need to remove AFTER they click "OK"

Thank you... this WILL BE a good solution.
But we know our customers and if they saw that the character disappears they would start to wonder why.
His ears would bleed and would not proceed with the purchase.

We need to delete those characters AFTER click ok
