Site Language Problem

Hi All,

 

Happy new year

 

I seek some advise before execution.

 

1.
I run my online store only need Chinese Language for our customer, basically I don’t need English Language, but some of my worker do need English for monitor backend. Can I disable English language?

2.
My default website is http://www.brandmartasia.net/TW (Chinese), but sometime I keep seeing http://www.brandmartasia.net/en (English), if i disbale the english, will my default web address will direct to http://www.brandmartasia.net/TW everytime I only type http://www.brandmartasia.net on search engine.

3.
If I don’t disable the English Language, would everytime I load the Page, search engine will automatic load English and Chinese Lanugage together? will it affect the speed?

Hi, disable english in back office and admins can use english.

Check that your shop does not display /tw in front end url.  For one language shop it is not needed in url.  it won't hurt but can cause a redirect within ps.

so if you disable english, you would not see /en in front end.  remember to rerun your sitemap so there are no /en links...also regenerate robots.txt and check it.
