info article images with combinations

hello to everyone a question about the articles with combination

I have recently moved from prestashop 1.6 to prestashop 1.7.4.4

with prestashop 1.6 I had a general cover image and one for each combination

the general cover image appeared in the shop and when I selected the combination the image of the combination appeared.


now with 1.7 I use the same procedure but in the shop the default product image appears as the cover

the general cover image does not even line up


Is it normal or is it a mistake?

I have not found any topic about it possible that nobody has noticed this big difference?
