I can clone the classic theme but cannot create a homemade one

PrestaShop version 1.7.4.4

I want to make a theme.
I duplicate the classic theme and edit the settings yml with no results.
Same situation with the starter one via github.

Specifically the error indicates that the theme is not available with PrestaShop 1.7

What the hell is going on?

I think it is best that you export the classic theme with a different name, then import than "new" one back, all using the Export/Import tool within the Design->Themes.

This way the new directory will be automatically created.

This of course considering that you want a clone, otherwise a child theme is recommended.
