Sorry I can't found the correct discussion for my problem therefore I need drop a new topic.

I am using 1.7.4.4
the ISO code for traditional chinese is "tw". However I want "hk" be shown in my URL not "tw"

i tried to change it from "tw" to "hk" and show :

hi this  is a bit tricky and I recommend that you do this  on a test copy of your shop first.

start by manually adding the target language  hk/zn-hk.

then go to international-->translations and scroll to bottom.

there you can copy one translation to another, i.e. copy tw to hk.

then test....personally I have never done it but with PS it's possible.

no rest for the weary.....I assume you selected the correct theme yes?  I have to ask...lol

There is an export language feature, again 'not tried by me' but try to export it.  It may need to be modified with correct language codes after exporting.  Sorry today not time tot try this before recommend so we will experiment.  Make sure to do on test or have backup of files and db from hosting....back up back up...
