how to translate the VAT address field

Recommended Posts

Hi! I'm trying to translate the VAT field, unsuccessfully. Basically I've edited ShopFormLables.xlf, by placing the following:

      <trans-unit id="7cb32e708d6b961d476baced73d362bb" approved="yes">
        <source>VAT number</source>
        <target xml:lang="es-ES" state="translated">DNI/NIE</target>
        <note>Context:
File: classes/form/CustomerAddressFormatter.php:214</note>
      </trans-unit>

replacing the xlf file under app/Resources/translations/es-ES/ShopFormLabels.xml, emptying the cache from the back office and trying to reload the page where the field appears. Nothing changed though, as you can see from the image attacched. Any hint? :(

Hi, I know the answer's a little late, but I think the problem you are facing is that the translation file should be:

[prestawebroot]/app/Resources/translations/es-ES/ShopFormsLabels.es-ES.xlf

At least that's what worked for me on 1.7.3

Hope it helps someone.
