Prestashop not reacheable anymore after loading data from other database

Dear community,

My production site is having issues and that is why I need to set up a new site as soon as I can. Customers are complaining since an incident I had last month.

Because of the need of time I decided to halt the migration to 1.7 and go first to the newest version of 1.6.

So I installed prestashop on a new directory for the test server (checked if worked - OK!) , created a new database for the test site (OK), removed demo data (site still working - OK) imported the data from production into this test database (import ok, data ok, but links to backoffice and frontoffice show screen scrambled on left site - so no real prestashp screen),

 

due to the keys prestashop puts in changed the keys in settings.inc.php file. -> still do not get the prestashop test site up and running.

Can you please help me on how I could get 1) backoffice and frontoffice from prestashop again up and running on this test site (that will become production once it is working fine)

Hi Frances,

Here is my recommendation.

1) copy existing shop (production) to a test subdomain.  Get that working.  Then you have way to test autoupgrade.

2) follow the instructions for using autoupgrade of your shop to either 1.6 or 1.7.
