[free module] New products as a slideshow

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

Found this module and made some changes, because previous version was not working correctly with latest PS. Works amazing on PS 1.3.6.0

RANDOM CHOICE of new products. For example, if you have 50 new poducts., they will be chosen by random, not by order you have added them.

You can customize css as you like, just open module folder find css folder and edit slidenewproducts.css

h22  {  font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
          font-size: 14px;
          font-weight: bold;
          color: #BDC2C9; Color of "NEW PRODUCTS"
          background: none; Background color of "NEW PRODUCTS"
          text-transform: uppercase;
          margin-left: 9px;

Hi, I uploaded this module to the modules folder on the server but it doesn't show up in back office modules. Does it work with PS 1.3.7?

Under what name does it show in back office?

Thank you for the module. I don't know how I missed it in the BO module list before, if it helps anyone it's under tools. It works fine in PS 1.3.7 other than conflicting with Rocky's carousel; the product image bounces and doesn't change.

Upload the module via ftp to the modules folder in your prestashop installation. Go to back office - modules, find the module in the list of modules and click install.

Thanks Dan1,
Great , this what I did with the languages files and all works fine but this module does not show up at all, even after uploading the zip file as suggested.

Thanks Dan

I didn't say upload the zip file. Unzip the file and upload the folder via ftp. I don't know if it makes a difference but this is what I did. I never upload modules in zip files.

The name of the folder within this file is wrong. You should remove "_edited". The correct name of the module is "slidenewproducts".
Now the module shows up in your BO.

Tell us if it works for you now.

voici le slidenewproducts.css, à moins que ce soit le global.css que tu demandes?

                                /* DEFAULT is for three panels in width, adjust as needed
                                  This only matters if JS is OFF, otherwise JS sets this. */
#slider                            { height: 250px; width:210px; margin:left; overflow: hidden;
                                 position: relative; margin: 5px 0; }
#mover                            { width: 210px; position: relative; }

.slide                            { margin: 8px 0px 0px 0px; padding: -5px 0px; width:230px; height: 250px; float: left; position: relative; }
.slide h1                        { font-size: 14px;}
.slide p                        { font-size: 14px; line-height: 22px; width: 125px;}
.slide a                        { text-decoration: none;}
.slide a:hover                    { color: #61c8d9;}
.slide img                        { top: 10px; left: 220px; vertical-align: middle;}
.slide h2                        { font-size: 12px; padding: 0 10px; color: #000000; }
#slider-stopper                    { position: absolute; top: 0px; right: 10px; background: #ac0000; color: white;
                                 padding: 3px 8px; font-size: 10px; z-index: 1000; }

it work nice in all browser and with 1.2.5, 1.3.1 version
i think u transplant the module in right or left column.
try with the same width in #slider and . slde

#slider                            { height: 250px; width:230px; margin:left; overflow: hidden;position: relative; margin: 5px 0; }
#mover                            { width: 210px; position: relative; }

.slide                            { padding: -5px 0px; width:230px; height: 250px; float: left; position: relative;
