For some reason, my site displays http when a user directly goes to my website. how can i make it so that it shows the green bar (https) right on the homepage? jhnstcks Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Doing this will slow your website down a lot as every page will have to be encrypted before it is generated then de-encrypted at the users PC. There is no need to encrypt every page, only pages that the user enters sensitive data ie login, register and contact forms.I could imagine your hosting company not being too happy if you did this, as the server load would increase.
