CSV Import - delete all combinations

Hi everyone,

 

issue of mine is not that something doesn't work, but I lack in understanding on one of the check-boxes ( Advanced Parameters -> CSV Import )

 

It is "Delete all combinations before import" check-box.

According to documentation :

Quote

This option will erase all previously existing entries of the type of data you are importing. Thus you will start with a clean slate.

 

I can't stop but wonder if it wipes the data/combinations out of all of my products, or only those that I'm importing at that moment ?

I have a big data base of products, thus I'm afraid to select this box in fear of it wiping all of my existing combinations from all of the products.

OK, friend of mine has told me, it will delete ALL combinations, not just combinations of the products, I'm importing / changing.

So I have to delete all the old combinations per hand. Or do you have some tip, how to delete old combinations, or change them?
