g0a
if you have root access to your server you can add following line to /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 api.addons.prestashop.com that of course applies to Linux/Unix operating systems and is just a temporary workaround - not the permanent solution today api.addons.prestashop.com is again unavailable - shame on you

garciasanchezdani
Yes, I dit it in this way: File classes/Tools.php, function addonsRequest. Adding return false in first line of function. Like this: public static function addonsRequest($request, $params = array()) { return false; //... }
ecommerce16
You can even fix it with this module: https://www.prestaheroes.com/en-us/performance-emergency-fix-disable-api-connection-to-prestashop-addons
