Order Return Manager (RMA) Module

With the growing competition in the eCommerce industry, it is really important for the online store owners to pay special attention to their existing customers as it is comparatively easier to retain the existing customers. As of now most of the online store including top marketplace like Amazon, eBay, Walmart etc offers easy return policies to the customers to retain the customers for a long time.

The Return Manager module allows the store admin to offer hassle-free returns to the customers. By using this module the store admin can provide a user-friendly interface to the customers so that they can easily return the entire order or partial order.  The Return Manager module helps you to improve the customer service. This Module is available for the Prestashop version 1.6.0.4 to version 1.7.x.x.

The key features of the Return Manager Module are following:

1) The RMA Addon allows the store admin to set the return for the 3 methods – Credit, Refund and Replacement.

2) Admin can customize the messages for the return requests.

3) Admin can use the custom CSS and JS to make any changes in the look and feel at the front end of the module.

4) Admin can generate the return slip and also add the return guidelines along with the return slip.

5) Admin can define return policies along with the option to remove return policies from specific products or categories.

6) Admin can add/edit return policies with ease.

7) Admin can add the multiple reasons for the return so that customer can select a most appropriate reason for the return.

8) Admin can select the shipping paid by option for the return reasons.

9) The Return Manager module allows the customer to edit the comments for their returns.

10)  Return manager addon also supports the option to upload the images/documents, so that customers can share the images of the defective/wrong products or the documents related to the purchase.

11)  Admin can add multiple return statuses.

12)  Admin can create return requests on behalf of the customers.

13)  Return Manager addon offers pre-defined email templates for the New Return Request Notice (Customer), New Return Request Notice (Admin), New Return Request Approved, Return Request Denied, Return Request Status Change, Return request completed. Admin can easily customize these emails along with the subject line.

14)  Easy tracking of the return requests.

15)  Admin can accept/deny the return request on a single click as per the action was taken by admin an automated email will be sent to the customer.

  1. I see a return slip is this something generate by the module?
  2. Currently the return process is RMA print the RMA slip which contains info as product and customer info, which they are obliged to include into the package. How will this work with this module?
  3. Currently the customers have in their account a box: My Merchandise Returns. What will happened with this when the module is installed? This is for them to request returns and follow the procedure.

I would love to see the ability to exchange items. Currently your module seems to allow for an exchange but dosen't seem to allow the customer to choose a new replacement item and even add additional items, this is often an opportunity for new sales. That would require allowing for payment if the amount is greater than the return or refund if the amount is less. The refunds would need to be approved by the merchant and done manually. However new charges should be made immediately simply by sending the purchase to the existing shop cart.

But for now I dream. 🙂

Thanks for the suggestions. We really appreciate your idea and forwarding it to our team for their consideration. We will surely like to add these features to our module so that the store owners can manage the exchange request without any hassle with the options to cross-sell the products. As per the response of our requirement analysis team we will update you regarding the release of new features.

A new version v3.0.0 of Return Manager Module is now available for the PrestaShop v1.6 and v1.7.

New features & improvements:
1. Added Customer admin chat system.
2. Added cancel return request functionality by customer if enables.
3. Added min and max day option in return policy.
4. Added order status selection functionality.
5. Added option to generate coupon and update inventory in case of refund, update inventory in case of credit and replacement return type.

We have already forwarded your suggestions to our product team. We have added the feature to manage the exchange request in our module but currently payment methods are not integrated in the module. In our next release we will surely try to implement the same.

Hi, we are using this module since a year now. 

What we are missing is the possibility to set the period for returns by reason. 
We are selling hardware and customers should be able to return broken hardware for a whole year. But if they just do not like purchased products, they should be able to return them only within 4 weeks. 

Would it be possible to offer this feature?

Hi @Gneston,

Thank you for your suggestion. We have noted down your suggestion and we are forwarding it to our development team for their consideration. In the meantime, if you need this feature on a priority basis, we can implement this feature in the module as a custom change with some additional cost.

In this functionality- we will provide you an option to map the return reasons with the return type. So that in case of replacement you can set the return time like 1 year. Thus if a customer wants to replace the broken hardware within the set time frame then reason according to the selected return type will be displayed.

If you want to change the admin email to which the new return request notification has to be sent then it can be done by the 2 following ways:
1) By hardcoding the same in code - For this, you need to raise a ticket and our technical team will assist you.
2) Option in Module configuration for return request notification email - In this one, we will provide you a text field in module configuration to enter the email id where the return request notification needs to be sent. This will be done at an additional cost. Kindly raise a ticket for the same out technical team will share the cost of the same.

Yes, Return Manager module allows to add custom fields to the return initiate form. 

Admin can add the Radio Button, Text Box, Select Box or Check Boxes as a custom fields in the return form. Please refer to the attached image.  We have added the Radio Button Male or Female for the reference.
