Deleting cart_quantity_up from shopping-cart.tpl

I am trying to get rid of the + and - in the shopping cart.

I have altered shopping-cart.tpl but without result. I commented out the voucher part, this worked fine. But when i comment out the cart_quantity_up and cart_quantity_down, it still shows.

Correct me if i am wrong, but commenting out the following in themes/mytheme/shopping-cart.tpl should do the trick right?
