Preastashop 1.7 combinations aren't working.

I'm using PS 1.7.3.4.

If I try to create a product with combinations and select " Product with combinations " first of all, the "Quantities" tab doesn't get renamed to "Combinations" as it is suggested by the documentation

But the real problem is, that once I go into the "Quantities" tab and select a few combinations and then press generate, it gives me the green " Settings updated. " message but there aren't any combinations visible. Unlike this example.gif from the documentation.

I have the debug mode enabled but don't get any errors.
