Use only one Domain

Recommended Posts

You simply add your products to one domain only and do not add double content to the SERP's. Double content is: exact same product twice. If you have multishop active, than do not take same products in more than one domain. Add a bundle of this to one domain and a bundle of others to other domain, or use noindex for one of the shops.

Double content is not punished anymore, but you are sharing the weight of your content and keywords with your other shops. This means lower rank.

to extend on Selectshop.at.  Historically we could improve 'by country/region' SEO by using gTLD's, i.e. .fr/.de/.es etc without being penalized for duplicate content.  The article you mentioned is 'very' light weight and you should probably avoid articles not written by say Google/Moz/or even me.  Here is some relevant information you can explore:

https://moz.com/learn/seo/cctlds

https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-uses-cctlds-search-console-settings-geotarget-search-results/205486/

there is plenty more on the subject.  here is  module I wrote for PS 1.4 and still popular that allows you to bolt on multiple domains to one installation without the need for native PS MultiShop (introduced in PS 1.5).  https://www.prestaheroes.com/en-us/prestashop-geo-localization-solutions/prestashop-multistore-multishop-pro

but using a multiple domain strategy is losing seo signal compared to using IETF language/country codes.  See what I man by looking at Microsoft Azure.  I released this 'bomb' module several years ago but the community has yet to catch up.

I recommend the SEO friendly IETF method,  google  loves it and that's all the direction we need. lol

happy ps'ing
