Implementing Editorial in a theme without native support for it?

Hi

I have gotten a custom-made theme made for me. The problem is that the front page was not originally designed to have custom html on it. Editorial is activated, but whatever I put in there does not show up on the website.

I have no experience whatsoever in Prestashop, but I have experience from other platforms. My guess is I need to put a hook somewhere, but I don't know where?

So please tell me how I can make Editorial (also known as "Edit your front page" I think) work.
