problems in VERIFY DATABASE in instalation

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, maybe someone can help me, I have hostin in terrapower, I have instaled prestashop a lot of times (5 or 6 times) and always well, we were testing it. Now we want to begin to work and we found a problem in last instalation process. i have try 4 times and always the same.

I do this:

1) delete old batabase
2) create new databasa and new user (all permisions)
3) copy prestashop to w.....com/tienda
4) change permision files
5) execute: w.....com/tienda/install

in "System and permissions" everything is green
then in "Database configuration" I write server:localhost and database & user name and push verify now

this message appears: "Database Server is available but database is not found" (of course database name is right, I can see clean database in phpMyAdmin)

I am going crazy, I have instaled prestashop in same domain and hosting before and always was well.

any help please, hosting technicians don´t know prestashop, they tell me all is like always, and I don´t know what must I ask them.

thanks for your time guy
Pablo

Dear All,
I just SOLVED this problem. only for who hosting their prestashop remotely or using web hosting service.

here the detail:
Database server name : localhost
database name : *using your db name that you create
login : *using your username when you login Cpanel - from web hosting service
password : *using your password when you login Cpanel - from web hosting service

cheers...
