add code to the check out whithout touching the original template files

i need to add some html near the "Terms of service", how can i do that without touching a template?

ps :
is paymentConfirm the right hook to execute some php after the order is confirmed ?

To change the "I agree with the terms of service and I adhere to them unconditionally." text, you can go to Tools > Translations, select Front Office translations, click the USA flag, then scroll down to the "prestashop - order-carrier" section. If you want to do any more than that, you will have to modify order-carrier.tpl in your theme's directory.
