Header top Background

Hello,

i'm a begginner and i was wondering how to set up a Background Image for the #Header .header top.

i've changed the theme.css like this but is not working:

 

#header .header-top {
    padding:  0;
    background: #1b1b1b 

    url ("www/themes/blabla/assets/img/my_img.png") ;

}

 

can somebody let me figure out how to do it?
