Is it possible to create a search filter without purchasing an external addon?

Hello everyone, I wanted to know if it was possible to create a sidebar for a search filter based on the material: for example with checkboxes with different materials, but that can be selected both and not one at a time, as in the screenshot for example.
Thanks in advance.
P.S: I am currently using Prestashop version 1.7.2.5
