Problem adding feature. Which employee added the product

Hi all. I hope someone outthere can help me with this.
My problem is the following: I'm trying to add a feature to BO where the employee which added the product is recorded as an (id_employee) in the table (ps_product). I just cannot figure out this small issue:

I want to when an employee adding a product within the updating of the database the field I added (id_employee) is updated with the value ($cookie -> id_employee)

I just cannot find the code which actually updates the database by adding a new product. I searched admin folder and the product class.... reached a dead end.

can anybody help me with this. Please.
