Bundle of product and product download

Hi everybody,
I don't know if it's the right place to ask...

I would like to build a books e-commerce that supports these features:

A customer can buy a book that can be:
- A physical copy (to be shipped)
- A digital copy (pdf, epub, etc)
- A bundle of digital + physical

as you can see on http://pragprog.com

I don't know which is the best way to achieve this. In my mind I would:

- Create a book product
- Create the combinations (pdf, epub, etc.)

...but the problem is that the first choice should be shipped but not the others that should be only downloadable.

Otherwise I could create 3 different products (physical book, pdf book, epub book) and find a way to list only the first product in the catalog (otherwise I would show 3 books instead of one) and to let choose between the 3 options in the detail page.

Any advice? I don't need an out of the box solution, just some directions on how to start.
