Simplified customer registration - how was it done?

Does anybody know how to simplify checkout the way it is on Z e-shop ? Instead of using the usual 7! step process (including registrations and changing addresses) or one-page checkout they minimized the number of steps to just 4! What I am personally most interested in is getting rid of the page with two options - login or register - and simply putting a registration form instead.

Here are the first 3 steps:
1. cart
2. registration
3. address

Does anybody know how to minimize the number of steps or skip the screen with "login or register" options?

I would be most grateful for any info on that subject. I guess many more people could benefit from it.

Search the Third-Party Modules section, there is a free one there.
