Avoid asking shipping info to customers

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!
In our website, we're planning to sell a personalised digital product which is delivered to our customers either through mail and/or through a specific download section in their profile after the purchase and once the product is made.
Since the product is personalised, it doesn't really work for us to put it as a "Digital Product" in the standard configuration, we don't have a "download" link as we need to work each and every time according to customer specifications.

Because of this situations, I have 2 questions to ask:

1) Since we don't need shipping information from clients, how can we remove this part when the client is purchasing our products? We would like to remove friction during the purchasing process and since we don't really need this information we don't want to bother our customers with it.
2) How would you manage the configuration of such products?

Thank to everyone who would like to contribute :)

Problem is that taxes depend on this address, then it's not as easy as bypass this step :)

Thank you for your reply! However we are based and work in Italy, and the sales tax (here called IVA) is the same on a national level. It didn't even occur to me that could be still useful for taxes because it doesn't work that way in our country!
Thank you anyway for pointing that out!
