Unique product can be ordered twice if in 2 carts before one is paid.

I sell unique products, only 1 item available and backorder not allowed.

If two customers have it in their cart, then both are allowed to pay, and I'm left with telling one of them they didn't get it (these are highly sought after items), which is really not good at all.

In my backoffice, the second paid order is shown as "backorder" and the product quantity is -1.

Why does PrestaShop allow this? I've looked and can't find any setting that would fix this - it's really concerning me, as I'm going to have unhappy customers when I release the next batch of items.

No, I can still order a product that someone else has already got in their cart, and we are both allowed to pay for it.
