Module to avoid form action

Good evening, let me explain my doubt

I need to do a module that, specifically, in the backoffice´s CMS List, when i press the "Delete CMS" button, it makes a previous check and then, delete or not the CMS.

I´ve tried doing that by touching the postProcess in the controller but im not able to avoid the CMS from being deleted.

Maybe someone could help me please.
