Error trying to instal modules to the homehook

I'm having an issue with modules that hook into hookhome.

I've tried installing the "homefeatured" amd editorial modules, and both times I get the message

The following module(s) were not installed successfully: (whatever the module is I'm trying to install)

However it will then show in the backend that it is installed but I don't see anything on the home page.

Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Ok so now i know why the issue is happening, it appears that the position "Homepage Content" is missing, I've checked and the standard Hook_home hook is created in the index file. Does anyone know why this is missing?

Hi there, we found that the problem was that somehow the hook home was deleted from the database. So it just had to be re added to the database and it worked again.
