Joro
I've been struggling with .csv imports for over a month. My Categories csv loads perfectly but when I import Products, additional categories are created. The / method leaves me with a a tree with sub categories within Parent categories and vice versa. Prestashop support are ghosts, Teapot not getting back to me, I have spent nearly £1000 on 'Experts' who just seem interested in taking money and dragging out what is no doubt, an easy fix.. Are there any Experts on here that can give me real advice on how to correctly format these sheets? Probably a simpler case of looking at what I Have and seeing a glaring error in how they are formatted. TIA Joro
RogueWaveLimited
If you send me your CSV I can take a look at it. No promises.
Joro
Hi Richard, Thanks for your offer to take a look. I have shared the document with you at your email address. Any thoughts, please post here...
RogueWaveLimited
Each category or subcategory has an ID number. Use these numbers in the product CSV categories column instead of the names of the categories. If you have more than one category for a product separate the numbers with commas. E.g. "45,56,100". Try that on a couple of products in a small CSV to see if it works.

tantan199
If you can share me your files, I can help you to check. @RogueWaveLimited was right. See attached pictures. Another possible reason is that csv files you are using are wrong. If you are using 1.7, you can download correct csv files here https://www.sunnytoo.com/16535/import-edit-products-prestashop1-7-site-using-csv-files
