Customer Should Be Able To Modify Product Bundle Variations - Like on the Apple Store

Hey guys,

I think the title already explains a lot of what I'm trying to achieve:

1. I want to do what Apple is doing basically: you are offering different product bundles (e.g. Macbook pro 15", 2.6 Ghz).

2. If you want to increase the size of the hard disk, you can just add more space to the existing bundle, if you want the color to be space grey instead of gold, you can choose that as well.

3. In the end, the customer should be able to have a fully customised product bundle.

 

I'm in a niche where it makes sense to make bundles based on product selections, but the customer should be able to choose the size, the color and the pattern because it's just a matter of taste.

So imagine the product bundle is called "complete outfit" and consists of 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of trousers and a t-shirt. This selection should be fixed, but the customer should be able to change the size, the color etc. of these bundles.

The most advanced module seems to be Advanced Pack, but I'm not sure if it's the right one for my needs. I want what Apple is doing basically (see screenshot).

They ask you:

- Which processor is right for you?

- How much memory is right for you

etc.

How would I do this in Prestashop?

1) I move your question to "configuration forum section".

2) You can realize this by adding attributes and values to your catalog. Than add the features and their values on combination tab on your product back-office site.

Here is a link to a product in our store

As you can see there is a selection of products that is curated by us and makes the customer's life easier by presenting them with a preselection. However the patterns, colors etc. should be chosen by the customer because it's just a matter of personal preference.

In our case: would you suggest to buy the plugin you mentioned or is there in your opinion a different way to solve this problem if you're not a coder?
