Install - create database failed

I downloaded and installed your current release but anm not getting past the database creation or addition of files.

First few attempts I unzipped the package ans recommended, rest write permisisons where required for Apache, but did not get past the install. In fact "test database" produced no effect or error, and install simply produces a blank page. No tables were created.

So for my last attempt I removed all files and uploaded as per your install instructiuons, uploading to a folder named "prestashop" and manually set write permissions on that folder for Apache. Running index.php unpacked the ZIP successfully, but the install resulted as it had before.... no database created.

The database is already created and with user permissions just the same as every Worpress install used for the last 10 years.

I suspect that the current installer has a bug.
