This really looks good, and may be just what I've been looking for (tired of trying to get the native Fedex Module to work - driving me crazy).

I noticed that your demo is on the older prestashop default template- by any chance has it been tested on the new default template 1.4.5 ? I'd be interested to see how it looks on such - since the new template has the cart in the header instead of on the side.

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony,

We don't have a demo of it with that template, but have seen it used with many different templates.

The cart block preview is done with a new hook that can be placed anywhere you want, you may need to adjust its CSS to fit your specific theme.

Hi Tomerg,

I have a presales question:

Will the Fedex module be compatible with my existing carrier settings?

For a Dutch webshop I have installed as a carrier the Registered Mail from PostNL and set up the countries and zones according to their zone system. So for European countries there are 3 separate zones (Eur 1, Eur 2 and Eur 3). All other countries and Russia are in a zone 'World'. So all the countries are tied to a zone from this system.

In the fedex system the countries are tied to zones in other ways, as far as I can see. Will this be possible to set up?

Thanks in advance,

Volley

It's not going to be a problem, you will simply need to add a new carrier for each one of your zones.

FedEx doesn't know or care about Prestashop zones, they are only used to tie up a carrier to a country.

BUYERS BEWARE of PrestoChangeo CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I have the FedEx shipping module which I purchased on 11/29/2012. To date after mucho emails to PrestoChangeo support, with no resolve. TO DATE his module still does NOT operate. WASTE OF MONEY! PrestoChangeo response, “Always glad to help within 24 hours”. NOT TRUE. WEEKS LATER, still problem unsolved and WE DON’T EVEN TRUST THEM IN OUR BACK OFFICE. We cannot use their module, and they won’t refund. If you consider any of their products, BEWARE!

Hi Kurt, Thanks for posting your concerns. Although you've been a customer of ours for some time and use a couple other shipping modules from our shop, this was the first time we had heard of this issue with FedEx, and your PayPal dispute caught us by surprise given that we've had several interactions with you over the past several months. As we mentioned, sometimes messages can get caught in spam filters, etc., as may have been the case when we didn't receive your initial messages about this, and for that we are sorry for the inconvenience. We offered to help, as we do for 50+ customer emails we receive each day, virtually always responding within 24 hours (during the week anyways, and usually on the weekends as well). As you'll find, we have hundreds of happy customers on these forums who know we go out of our way to help our customers anyway we can. Because we stand by our products, and our service, we welcome you to come back to us with any future needs if you choose to do so. Thanks for your time.

The module works great. The ability to just print labels that automatically create the shipment saves so much time over logging into FedEx and entering all the information manually.

I have a question about freight shipping. I see that it is an option to add various freight options, but I can't seem to figure it out. I have Ground and Express both domestic and international working no problem, but I just can't figure out how to configure freight.

Is it possible to have freight return live quotes and if yes could you post instructions? I'm looking to have freight as an option for orders greater than 100lbs but no luck so far..
