Product page - Lag with main image being populated from thumbnail on mouse over.

On a product page, when a thumbnail image is scrolled over and it populates/updates the main product image - there is always a slight delay. I'm presuming this is an image pre-loading issue.

I see this on every prestashop site (that I've looked at) that uses this functionality, but I really need to fix it as it looks buggy and can cause confusion to the end user.

Does anyone know of a fix for this at all?
