Amending Product PHP

Hello,

I have two types of product category pages set up on my site. One page shows all products within their specific category eg Gold earrings, silver pendants, etc with filter options (these are generated from product attributes specified in the product.xml file.

The other type of page is the items by supplier. My problem is that the supplier page does not show the filter options that the specific category page shows. I have had a look at the product.php page to see if I can copy and paste what is needed from there into the supplier.php page. I know quite a bit about HTML/CSS but not an awful lot about php but I am a quick learner so I would really appreciate any suggestions or help with this matter.My relationship with the web developer has broken down but I do have full control and access over all files, etc.
