missing /config/settings.inc.php

Where can i find a settings.inc.php file.

Missing from my install and when i create a new file ( empty file ) my install stops at step3

 

any help ??

Hello,

 

You don't need the settings file before install, just make sure the writing permissions are set in your config folder.

permissions are ok ( wrx )

but nothing hapens.

 

i dont get any error message and continue

Did you use a special character or a space when creating your PrestaShop password during installation, by any chance?

 

There is a bug in the current build, 0.9.6.2, that prevents use of special characters (e.g., &§$%£°) or spaces in passwords.  It has been fixed for the next release, 0.9.6.3, due out shortly.

 

In the meantime, try creating a password using only letters and numbers and let us know if that gets you through Step 3.

i get the new version, my pwd is not using specialcharacters , only letters and 2 numbers, but the same problem exits.
