How to duplicate Prestashop for development in cPanel??

Hi

 

I need to make a copy of my store to make some changes and developing...

I have followed several tutorials I found online step by step but still can´t make this work. What I have done so far:

 

Created my subdomain: dev.mystore.com

Copied all files from my prestashop directly and copied them to my subdomain.

Created a new DataBase fro the copy of the site.

Created and added a new user for this database.

Copied the database from the original site into the newly created database.

Edited public_html/dev.mystore.com/config/settings.inc.php with the new database details.

Edited the site URL of the developer site and ps_shop_url URLs

 Copied the .htaccess file from the original shop folder to the developer

 

Now, when I tried to see the site copied, all time I find this:

"You can not access this website
The server IP address of dev.fruitfusionsport.com could not be found."

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

Can someone please tell me what the hell is wrong?? I have followed step by step taking care of all details, still, I can´t make this work, please any kind of help would be really appreciated, I have already wasted 4 hours with this.. 

 

Edit: Just in case this is important I am running Prestashop 1.6.1.5 in a2hosting

First off, rename the htaccess, create a file in the root of your dev site named test.txt. Write something in it and try accessing it from the browser. If you can't, the subdomain is not pointing to the correct folder. If you can, try accessing the dev's admin panel and reset the htaccess by saving the seo&urls page
