Layered Navigatioin filter with SQL query

Does anybody know if, it is possible to make a special Layered navigation filter that can look at some additional database table via SQL query to check some values ( or a text file), then selecting only products with those specific values?

may be, there is such ready module ?

Your question is a bit vague to answer. I had a similar need and developed custom modules to achieve this.
