cashing Cashing issue and blank pages v. 1.6.1.8

Hello everyone,

We have an issue with the cashing of our website.

It is still on the old version 1.6.1.8 .. I know we need to update it ..  :/, but this hasn't been our priority so far.

Last couple of weeks we started getting cashing issues .. the headers and banners disappear first and in the next hour, the whole website goes blank.

There is no problem to login from the BO and once the cache is cleared everything goes back to normal.

The problem is we don't know when this is happening and sometimes there have been hours with a completely blank website.

The current settings of the performance page are attached.

What is the best way to set up the cashing so it doesn't cause such a problems?

Without some minimal server settings is difficult to help. Which php-version is in use ? Cache module in use ? Apache or ngnix ?

For blank site, please activate debug mode and also read server error logs.

Apache / PHP version 5.6.31 / 

The cache module I believe is called Varnish Cache

 

I will activate the debug mode once we get a blank page but any thoughts on better performance settings?
