Update PrestaShop 1.6.1.17 > 1.7.x

Welcome,

Use an older beta version 1-Click Upgrade (which gives the ability to upgrade to 1.7.2.0) I wanted to upgrade Prestashop from version 1.6.1.17 to version 1.7.2.0 but at the very end of the update (uploading a new database) I got this error:

[Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:" " jqXHR: " "

Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

From what I can think it may be too short time to access the database but I'm not sure.

I also tried to install older version 1.7.0.0 by adding the archive file to autoupdate / download but it pops up the same error.

I also changed the advanced PHP settings in the admin panel:

max_execution_time = 450
max_input_time = 450
memory_limit = 256M
max_input_vars = 3000
post_max_size = 128M
upload_max_filesize = 128M

But it just does not work, just hangs all the time on the last line of database updates and after 10 minutes it crashes.

I added screenshot from update logs:

Best wishes.

Update:

  • I have restored the new PHP settings and changed the memory_limit from 128 to 256.
  • I changed the version of PHP from 7.0 to 5.3.6 (the same as previously supported copy of the store)
  • I cleared the cache from the Presta admin panel and from the smarty / FTP folder.
  • When upgrading to 1.7.2.0 with 1-Click Update I changed server performance to high.

After these actions the update hung longer than usual but without error (screenshot):

From the apache log I got such repetitive errors:

[Wed Oct 18 11:55:26.762933 2017] [fcgid:warn] [pid 22267:tid 140428217065216] [client 188.40.106.73:49408] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Cannot use PrestaShopBundle\\Service\\Database\\Upgrade as Upgrade because the name is already in use in /home/bonek093/domains/bonek093.ayz.pl/public_html/src/PrestaShopBundle/Install/Install.php on line 56

Then the update has hung up and I got the same error again:

And in apache logs such errors occurred:

I do not know what to do next with this freak. Please help me.

I have the same err:

[Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:" " jqXHR: " "

I have tryed everything....even upgrade from local folder or archive....

The error jqXHR on server is a general error like 500 server error. For to have more details, please read server error logs.

Check also min. server requirements for to run PS 1.7. https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/633857-server-requirements-for-ps-17/

I've been searching the forum and it seems there is still no 1 click upgrade available for 1.7.? Then why have it even on the market? I have not seen any other company that releases a new version and the old version can't even be upgraded.
