Products go in Negative after the delay cart 1.7.2.2

I have a big problem. Try to describe:

 

  •     A customer places a product in the cart but does not checkout
  •     The next day, opens the cart and complete the purchase.
  •     the product, which in the meantime went to zero, goes negative.
  •     At that point there is no way to exhaust the client's request and it is bad.

The quantity is check only when the product is added to the cart?

Is possible that no control is make at checkout for product quantity? 

In this case, it's a very serious problem.

I expect for someone answer me. Thanks so much.

Any one can help me???

 

I try in a new installation:

as a customer I put an item in the cart,

I set quantity to 0 in back office,

And then I complete checkout, even if the item is not present. How is it possible?

Any one can help me???
