Fatal Error After Uploading 1-Click Upgrade

I am trying to upgrade from 1.6.1.4 to 1.7. When I upload version 3.03 of the 1-Click Upgrade module and try to access the modules pages in BO, I get the following error:

 

[PrestaShop] Fatal error in module file :/home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/testsite/modules/autoupgrade/autoupgrade.php:
Call to undefined method Autoupgrade::trans()

 

 

Works fine when I switch back to version 1.6.7 of the module. Except that doesn't give me the option to upgrade to 1.7.

I have the same problem, is v3.03 not designed to work with PS v1.6?

I'm pretty sure the upgrade module is not ready to handle upgrades from 1.6 to 1.7

 

You could try using v1.6.7 to upgrade to the latest PS v1.6.1.16, and then try to upgrade to PS v1.7 using the latest v3.0 upgrade module.  However I do not believe it would work

Thought I'd try the suggestion to upgrade to PS v1.6.1.16 with v1.6.7. But, keep getting "Error during download".

 

So, think I will back off for awhile. Any rough ideas or advise on when this might go a little more smoothly?

Perhaps the download link was offline for maintenance?  You can always download the version yourself from the PS website, and then follow the 'expert' option in the upgrade module so that instead of downloading it during the upgrade, you just tell the upgrade module where it is located on your folder

Unfortunately, v1.6.7 doesn't have an expert option. And, v3.03 causes the above error. But might try V1.6.7 again in case the site was down for maintenance.

v1.6.7 most certainly has an expert mode option.  In the "Start your upgrade" section, floating on the right side is a button named "More options (expert mode)"
