PS 1.7 not saving properly

Hi, I have PS 1.7.2.0.

I experience a problem with saving (mainly) products, but some other switch buttons in theme control panel do not work either. I tried to switch back to default theme as somebody suggested with similar problem with PS 1.6. There is no file to edit as some of the suggestions for previous version were (PrestaShop/admin-dev/themes/default/template/controllers/products/helpers/form/form.tpl).

In debug mode there is anything that would scream "I am the problem", after pressing the save button, green success block appears. Only thing in debug mode are a few of translation not found warning and  one silenced error (attachement).

I have no idea where to look and how to fix that. I also tried different performance settings, with and without cache, smarty etc.
