Installing PrestaShop on Siteground Hosting

I've been trying to install PrestaShop on a Siteground hosting with no success. First, I was running into a redirect problem. I searched around and found some posts about an infinite loop problem requiring regeneration of .htaccess file, etc. Tried all of that without any success. Then I tried the Softaculous automatic installation, which also failed.

 

After several back and forth with Siteground's support and no success, I'm left to ask here if this is a common occurance with PrestaShop on Siteground hosting? Has anyone experienced anything like this with Siteground? What is the solution to the redirect error with SSL or https? Any working walk-through available anyone care to share?

Installing Prestashop on Siteground should be very easy and straightforward. I did not understand what was your problem.

I myself installed it several times very easily. Just create database and upload prestashop to your public_html folder (or any other folder that your domain points to) and open install page and follow instructions. Did  you do it like this? Did it install successfully?
